I am not reloading so i specifically purchased the ruger american in.308 to take advantage of the plethora of factory ammo choices. Rifle shoots great with my hand loads and a 150g soft point , under 1in at 100yards. Slide locking back when ammo still present, takedown plate broke and would not return to closed position.
